The Continuing Education Unit operates under the Directorate of Academic and Professional Engagement and is responsible for promoting, managing, and leading various training actions arising from cooperation with and among the institution’s educational units. Its goal is to offer specialization and updating alternatives for graduates, professionals, and technicians, aimed at the continuous development of human capital in the region.
In extreme areas, education is particularly significant for development, providing opportunities to enhance human talent in social, cultural, and economic aspects within the community. To address this, the unit offers training programs and conducts assessments of educational needs in both public and private sectors to focus efforts and respond more effectively to training demands.
The unit has been a certified Training Organization (OTEC) since 1995, accessible to companies affiliated with the SENCE franchise, and has held validated Training Activities (ATE) since 2011, providing training to schools and high schools as needed.
