Unit dependent on the University Secretary, responsible for advising and providing support to the Rector, executive authorities, officials, and academics on legal matters pertaining to the University, ensuring compliance with the current regulations and rules governing our institution’s activities.
Main Functions:
- Legal Advice.
- To represent the University in legal, judicial, and administrative matters.
- To exercise control over the procedural rules of investigations or inquiries and to advise the authorities in resolving appeals related to these matters.
- To contribute to the training processes of specialization, undergraduate, and graduate programs at the University of Magallanes, incorporating Antarctic themes as an important axis of the institutional training process.
- To provide legal opinions on instruments issued and signed by the University.
