The Prorector is a senior authority responsible for directly supporting the Rector in various matters concerning the internal and external functioning of the university, representing them before all instances determined by the Rector, exercising the powers and authorities delegated by the Rector as established through the corresponding administrative acts; organizing the proper functioning of the Committees and Advisory Commissions of the Prorector, in matters related to functions established by current university regulations or explicitly delegated by the Rector; coordinating and articulating the processes of Strategic Planning and Information Analysis, and implementing the policy and plan for the internationalization of the University through mutually beneficial agreements with university and research entities in the international arena.
Reporting to the Rectorship, the Prorectorship serves as an executive unit responsible for directing and coordinating cross-cutting issues assigned by the highest authority, for which it is responsible for overseeing the work developed through the following units:
- Directorate of Planning and Institutional Development
- Directorate of Institutional Analysis
- Directorate of Quality Assurance
- Directorate of Gender, Equity, and Diversity
- Directorate of Public RelationsDirectorate of International Cooperation
