The executive activities of the institution are led by the Rector, in their capacity as the senior official and legal representative of the University, responsible for the direction and supervision of all academic, administrative, and financial activities of the University. Their authority extends to all matters relating to the University, with the sole limitation stemming from the specific powers granted to the Board of Directors.
- To appoint and remove the academic and administrative staff of the University, in accordance with established procedures.
- To propose to the Board of Directors the appointments of senior officials, as well as the annual budget and the remuneration policy for the academic and administrative staff of our Institution.
- To approve the necessary positions for the teaching and administrative staff, as requested by the Deans or other officials.
- To execute the agreements of the Board of Directors and to promulgate their ordinances or decisions as appropriate. They must also issue the regulations, decrees, and resolutions that fall under their authority, as well as execute the agreements of the Academic Council that are applicable.
