Due to the growing demand for technical programs offered since 1982 at various faculties of the University of Magallanes, the Technological Education Center was created in 2007. This unit consolidates all university-level technical training programs in the city of Punta Arenas, while still being part of our higher education institution.
Our academic level and modern infrastructure, which includes laboratories equipped with current technology and supplies aligned with today’s job market demands, support our experience and tradition as a leading institution in Patagonia.
Generally, the programs are held in the evening, except for those related to health, tourism, and education, which require daytime practical training. This arrangement allows our students the opportunity to work and study simultaneously.
